Pack Walks, dog yoga: Free summer fun for you and your pup at Pinecrest

ORANGE, Ohio – Pinecrest is hosting a variety of free summer events that both humans and their fur babies can enjoy, including dog yoga and weekly meetups.

Ana Liberati, Pinecrest’s marketing manager, told cleveland.com that Pack Walks, a weekly dog-friendly meetup, will be held at 9 a.m. on July 19, July 26, Aug. 2, and Aug. 9. An additional Pack Walk is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, as part of Pinecrest’s Dog Days of Summer event. The Dog Days of Summer event features numerous activities, including dog yoga, a group training session, a caricature drawing of you and your pooch, tie-dying dog bandanas, pup cups from Graeter’s and a chance to win a gift basket filled with dog goodies.

“Our Pack Walks have been happening since summer of 2021,” Liberati said. “Our team found that the community really enjoyed coming to Pinecrest for an organized walk with their pups and we are always asked year after year to add more dates, and we have been hosting during the ‘Dog Days of Summer.’ We partner with Chris Ramsay of Shaker Hound Academy, and he really provides a wonderful experience for humans and dogs alike.”

Liberati said there is no cost for the dog-friendly events and noted that all dogs are allowed to join the fun.

“We welcome all dogs from puppies, service dogs, service dogs in training, reactive dogs, older dogs, and any breed,” Liberati said. “Each dog and human find the experience beneficial and we have a lot of repeat attendees.”

Liberati said that dogs are not permitted to play off-leash.

“Bring treats and water,” she said. “It can get hot, and you always want to reward your pup. Additionally, if you are bringing a reactive dog, please bring a red bandana to place on them so the group and Chris are aware and can place appropriately in the lineup. Lastly, bring a standard six-foot leash, not a retractable one.”

Liberati said that the fun doesn’t stop with the dog events, as dozens of Pinecrest stores and restaurant patios welcome pups.

“I’d love for readers to know that Pinecrest is extremely dog friendly, so after bringing your pup to the Pack Walk, you can enjoy breakfast at one of our several locations, go shopping, and enjoy a day with your furry family member,” she said.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
