Owner of fatally injured dog charged with animal cruelty

HARTFORD, Vt. (WCAX) – A dog’s owner has been charged with animal cruelty after police say it jumped out of his moving vehicle and was hit by a car.

Police say “Ace” – a five-year-old German Shepard – was seen jumping out of a moving truck on I-89 in Hartford Friday. Witnesses took the dog to Save’s Emergency Care in Lebanon but he later died from his injuries.

The driver of that truck, 33-year-old Adam Howard of North Carolina, says he was unaware the dog had slipped out of his collar and became unsecure.

He was also cited for disorderly conduct and released.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
