Over 30 dogs rescued from unlicensed breeder in Cedar Co.

CEDAR COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) – Over 30 dogs were rescued from an unlicensed breeder in Cedar County Friday.

Less than two years ago, the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office and the Animal Rescue League (ARL) of Iowa removed 30 dogs from the same breeder.

On June 6, the ARL of Iowa returned to the area to remove 32 more dogs.

According to a Facebook post from the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office, the dogs were being neglected and did not have proper access to food, water, and shelter.

The dog kennels at the ARL were already at full capacity, so emergency overflow space had to be prepared to take in more dogs.

Some of the dogs needed medical treatment, including surgeries. Other dogs needed behavioral care.

The Cedar County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting an investigation into the situation. No other information is known at this time.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
