Oregon dog featured in TSA’s 2025 Canine Calendar

PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) – The Transportation Security Administration has unleashed its 2025 canine calendar – and an Oregonian pup has landed a spot.

The calendar is a yearly tradition that honors the TSA’s more than 1,000 explosives-detection dogs.

One of the dogs is Dodo, a 4-year-old German Wirehaired Pointer. He has been working at Portland International Airport since he was one.

When Dodo is not working, he loves to sunbathe and cuddle his stuffed squirrel.

Each year, TSA welcomes roughly 300 new canine recruits to a 16-week training program at the agency’s training center in San Antonio, Texas. After training, the pups go off to permanent duty stations across the United States.

The calendar is free and available for download here.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
