POLICE SAY THAT THAT DRIVER PICKED UP A WOMAN AND WHEN SHE DEMANDED MONEY AND THE DRIVER REFUSED TO GIVE IT TO HER, THAT’S WHEN SHE SHOT HIM AND THEN TOOK OFF. THIS WAS THE SCENE THIS MORNING. POLICE GOT THE CALL AROUND 3:00 ABOUT A CAR ON THE PRACTICE FIELD OF SOUTHEAST HIGH SCHOOL. WHEN THEY GOT THERE, THAT’S WHEN THEY FOUND THAT VICTIM WITH A GUNSHOT WOUND. HE WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL IN CRITICAL CONDITION. THE SUSPECT IS STILL ON THE RUN THIS MORNING. THEY ARE ASKING FOR THE PUBLIC’S HELP. OTP IDENTIFYING THE VICTIM AS 41 YEAR OLD DONALD HOLLOWAY FROM EDMOND. TROOPERS SAY THE VICTIM JUMPED FROM A CLIFF SURFACED AND SUBMERGED IN THE WATER AND DIDN’T COME BACK UP. HAPPENING TODAY, THE NORMAN CITY COUNCIL WILL CONSIDER WHAT INFRASTRUCTURE IS NEEDED FOR CONSTRUCTION. At around 9:35 p.m., an Oklahoma City police officer was called to a home near Southeast 16th Street and Byers Avenue for a domestic situation. When the officer arrived, they were advised that the Oklahoma City Fire Department was also responding to the residence for a fire in the laundry room. After the fire, which was contained to the laundry room, was extinguished, firefighters found four dogs in the kitchen area. Two of the dogs were locked in kennels and the other two were lying next to the kennels, according to a probable cause affidavit. Fire officials advised the officer that all of the dogs were believed to have died prior to the fire. >> Download the KOCO 5 AppFirefighters brought the dogs to the front yard, where one dog remained in a kennel. The probable cause affidavit says the dog was “extremely malnourished and was so thin that the rib cage was clearly visible.” The kennel and the dog were both covered in feces, and the officer said it was clear the dog had been without food or water for a long time. All four dogs belonged to the homeowner, who admitted to officers that she had not stayed at the house in 14 days due to her husband being in the hospital. She said she had been at the house every other day to feed and water the dogs, as well as to let them out to use the bathroom. The homeowner told police that she asked her brother-in-law to feed and water the dogs while she was gone, but she told officials she never confirmed that he was doing this. She said all of the animals were alive when she was last at the house on Sunday afternoon. Every kennel located inside the residence was covered in feces and did not have a water bowl filled with water,” the probable cause affidavit said. The woman was arrested on four counts of cruelty to animals. KOCO 5 has chosen not to name the woman since formal charges have not yet been filed.
