Ohio girl, 3, killed in attack by 2 dogs at father’s home, reports say

CINCINNATI, Ohio — A 3-year-old girl was killed last week when she was attacked by two dogs while visiting her father’s home, reports say.

WLWT Channel 5 reports the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office says Kingsley Wright died from her injuries in the attack on Friday. The girl’s mother, Gina Smith, tells WLWT her daughter was visiting the home during the holidays.

According to WXIX Channel 19, a man who identified himself as Wright’s father called 911 on Friday morning and told the dispatcher he woke up to find his daughter dead. The girl reportedly was sleeping on a couch in the home when she was attacked.

“I just woke up and my daughter is dead. There’s blood everywhere, I don’t know what happened,” the caller told dispatchers, according to WXIX. “I don’t understand what went on.”

The man reportedly told dispatchers that his dogs were in a cage and he didn’t know how the attack could have occurred.

Smith, the girl’s mother, says she was not aware that the dogs might be dangerous. Reports say the dogs were a terrier breed.

“I would have not left my baby around vicious dogs. Why would I do that?” Smith tells WLWT.

WXIX reports Cincinnati Animal CARE took three dogs from the home and they are being quarantined.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
