Officials: Four dogs rescued from morning house fire in St. Marys

Fire officials in Elk County say four dogs were rescued following a blaze Monday morning at a home in St. Marys.

According to Crystal Fire Chief Bill Kraus, crews were dispatched to the home, located along the 200 block of Wilson Road, around 9 a.m.

Authorities say an employee of a nearby business reportedly saw smoke in the area and drove to the home, where they saw the flames.

Officials say firefighters encountered heavy flames, at the back of the home, when they arrived on scene.

Investigators say four dogs were rescued from the fire, with one being provided oxygen by St. Marys Area Ambulance Service.

Authorities say five residents were displaced by the blaze, but no one was home at the time the fire broke out.

A state police fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
