Officials find dog standing with remains of woman who has been missing for weeks

BUCKEYE, Ariz. (KPHO/Gray News) – Authorities in Arizona have located the remains of 46-year-old Hope Tucker, a woman who has been missing since May.

Officials confirmed Monday that the remains of the missing mother and her dog were found less than two miles north of Interstate 10.

Police said Tucker and her autistic son were driving on I-10 early on the morning of Wednesday, May 22, when their car broke down between Verrado Way and Watson Road.

Investigators believe they abandoned the car to find shade, but what happened to Tucker is unclear.

Her son, who has limited ability to communicate, was found in distress at a gas station on Watson Road on May 24.

He was hospitalized for nearly a month before being placed in the care of a family member last week.

While he never mentioned his mother during his hospital stay, police say he told his relatives what happened, and they called Phoenix police.

Crews had been looking for Tucker since Saturday, June 22.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
