RUSSELL TOWNSHIP, Ohio –
Assistance, Chillicothe Road:
Police assisted firefighters on a call 8:14 a.m. Jan. 7 at Rescue Village for a report of an oil spill leaking from a generator. The call was made by CEI who were onsite for a repair after a snowplow contractor backed into an electrical box earlier that morning at about 3:20 a.m. The oil was contained to a concrete basin and CEI contacted a company to pump out the oil. The snowplow company will work with Rescue Village to pay for damages.
Animal complaint, Cuyahoga Trail:
After receiving an anonymous complaint for a barking dog 9:02 a.m. Jan. 9 an officer contacted the owner who said she would bring her dog inside.
Animal at large, Caves Road:
A homeowner on the street caught loose dogs 2:05 p.m. Jan. 3, put them in his garage and reported it to police. A homeowner in Chester Township reported she was looking for her dogs that got away from her. The descriptions matched and she retrieved her dogs from the homeowner’s garage.
Assistance, Sugar Bush Lane:
Police and EMS responded to a home shortly before 9 p.m. Dec. 28 where a woman was experiencing a seizure outside in the yard. She was transported to a hospital for medical attention.
