
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Lexington Police were called to the 3500 block of Doral Place just before 8 p.m. on Saturday for a domestic dispute.
Police say once on scene, an officer was bit by a dog on the arm. They tell WKYT that’s when the officer shot the dog.
According to law enforcement Animal Care and Control arrived and began treating the dog.
The officer was taken to the hospital for the arm injury and is reportedly doing okay.
An investigation into both the domestic dispute and the bite incident is underway.
