Notice: Taylor Animal Shelter can’t handle any more cats or dogs; at capacity

Not one more cat or dog can be taken in at the Taylor Animal Shelter, and that makes for a critical situation for pets and those looking to take an animal off the street.

An alert to the community was posted on the city’s website making residents aware of the situation.

“The shelter will not accept any surrenders until spots reopen and there is very limited space for strays,” the post said.

With the shelter at capacity, the staff is not able to maintain the proper care and it does not have the capacity to move animals for cleaning.

“If the shelter is overloaded there is a greater chance for disease outbreak,” the post said.

The shelter is going to be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 15 in an effort to facilitate more animal adoptions.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
