Northern Michigan man accused of beating, neglecting 3 dogs

GARFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – A Northern Michigan man is accused of animal abuse after one of his dogs was taken to an animal shelter and needed emergency medical care, WPBN/WGTU reports.

The dog appeared to have been beaten, authorities said. That prompted an investigation by Grand Traverse County animal control, which began earlier this month. Then, on Monday, an anonymous caller reported who the dog belonged to and that there were more dogs in the home.

Sheriff’s deputies went to the man’s Garfield Township home with a search warrant, the report said. Two dogs were found inside the home. Both appeared to be malnourished and abused.

The 23-year-old man was arrested for animal abuse, the report said. The 24-year-old woman was arrested for animal neglect. Their identities are being withheld pending arraignment.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
