A federal judge sided with Democratic attorneys general, including Kris Mayes, and blocked President Donald Trump’s attempt to overhaul elections. Trump’s executive order included requiring proof of citizenship and only accepting mailed ballots by Election Day. Democrats said it was unconstitutional since states run their elections.
