No Injuries, 2 Dogs Rescued From New Lenox House Fire: NLFPD

NEW LENOX, IL — No injuries were reported and two dogs are safe after being rescued from a New Lenox house fire Friday afternoon, the New Lenox Fire Protection District said.

At 4:11 p.m on May 16, the New Lenox Fire Protection District was called for a residential structure fire on the 900 block of Schoolgate Road. Upon arrival, the fire was upgraded to a full-still response.

The fire appears to have started outside and traveled up the side of the building into the attic, fire officials said. The fire was under control by 4:31 p.m. Most of the damage was kept to one unit, which is currently vacant.

The two dogs were rescued from an adjacent unit.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
