(Kandiyohi Co, MN) The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Department has a new K-9 officer. Sheriff Eric Tollefson says it is a Belgian Malinois-Shepherd cross. Tollefson says the handler will be Deputy Nick Moberg, who will be picking up the dog this weekend. Tollefson says the K-9 came from a kennel in Slovakia.
The Willmar Police Department is currently without a K-9 officer after the recent retirements of officers Major and Axel. Willmar Police Captain Mike Anderson says they would like to get a new one in the future, after they get back up to full speed with their human officers.
