An anonymous letter was pinned on a sign saying that the owner rescued the dogs from someone who could not provide adequate care. The rescuer, though, couldn’t keep the dogs due to apartment rules and thought the dog park at Philadelphia and Delmorr avenues was the best option, police said.
Police are investigating the incident and seek the poster of the letter. Police said they are also concerned about the safety of any remaining animals the original owner has.
“Although the Morrisville Police Department does not condone the abandonment of any animals, there is a larger issue in this case that we would like to isolate and make sure these animals are all safe,” police said.
Anyone who would like to adopt the remaining dogs should contact the Bucks County SPCA at 215-794-7425 today.
Anyone with information about the original owner of these animals should contact Cpl. Halas at L.Halas@morrisvillepolice.org or 215-295-8112. You can also submit a tip on Morrisville CrimeWatch.
