Nearly a dozen Furry Friday dogs adopted, many more still waiting!

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – After a brief hiatus due to Hurricane Helene, Furry Friday is back! The good news? Nearly a dozen dogs previously featured on Furry Friday have been adopted in the interim and four more have been transported out west where new homes await!

Furry Friday is a collaboration between WCTV and the Tallahassee Animal Service Center. It’s designed to get dogs out of their kennels and into the spotlight in hopes of helping them find their fur-ever homes.

Here are the dogs we are featuring this week:

Meet Raleigh.

This happy hound is ready and waiting to explore the world.

He loves following his nose and has a blast with his buddies on the playground.

Raleigh is looking for a laid back and loyal companion who will finally give this sweet stray a safe and loving home.

Raleigh is five years old.

If Raleigh looks like the perfect addition to your family, visit him this weekend at the shelter.

Meet Key! As in low-key.

This one-year-old pup has a gentle old soul.

He can be shy at first, but once you’re in, you’re in.

Key will lounge by your side, laying on his back for endless belly rubs or leaning in for a lengthy back scratch.

Key seems to soak up all that sunshine and TLC.

Key loves playing ball.

He’s easy to walk, enjoys picking up sticks and never met a dog biscuit he didn’t like!

If Key looks like the perfect low-key addition to your family, visit him this weekend at the shelter.

Meet Kashea.

This girl is playful and friendly.

Her idea of a good time is sprawling out in the sunshine and the cool green grass for a belly rub or a back scratch and maybe chewing on a good stick or two.

Kashea enjoys a leisurely walk and is looking for someone who can appreciate her beautiful brindle spotted coat. She wears it year round.

Kashea is three years old.

If Kashea looks like the perfect snuggle buddy for you, visit her this weekend at the shelter.

He loves to run and would love a running buddy who shares his love of the great outdoors.

Domino likes exploring, bird watching and chasing squirrels.

He loves riding in the car with the window cracked and the wind in his face.

If you share Domino’s zest for life and love of adventure, visit him this weekend at the shelter.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
