Nearly 60 dogs under the care of PACC after New Year’s Holiday

TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) — Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) needs your help reuniting lost dogs to their owners after dozens of them were turned over after New Year’s Day.

At last check nearly 60 dogs are currently under the care of PACC.

The organization is really urging everyone to come check them out if they lost a loved one during the New Year’s holiday.

At least 58 were handed to PACC since noon Thursday.

Dogs typically get lost during this time of the year due to fireworks sometimes going off, spooking them and escaping from their home.

PACC says reclaiming fees are waived in most instances.

PACC also wants to remind all of us to get our dogs microchipped and tagged with a collar so that if this ever happens to our dogs, reunification can happen quicker.

If you or someone you know has lost a pet, you can upload a picture of them on lost.petcolove.org.

Found dogs can be found here.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
