Mustard beer? Fletcher’s Corny Dogs selling strange beer with local brewery at the State Fair of Texas

DALLAS — When it comes to the condiment to put on a Fletcher’s Corny Dog, the Fletcher family has always said mustard.

Now, they’re taking it a step further and saying it should go in your beer too!

Fletcher’s Corny Dogs announced on social media that they’re selling their signature Mustard Beer at the State Fair of Texas this year.

It’s not the first time Martin House has delved into strange brews. In the past, the brewery has made a hot dog water-flavored seltzer, a Best Maid Sour Pickle beer, and even an Elf-themed beer brewed with spaghetti, maple syrup and M&M’s. That’s just to name a few.

The Fletcher family debuted their famous corny dogs at the State Fair of Texas back in 1942. Since then, they’ve become a staple of the State Fair of Texas each year. In 2023, Fletcher’s sold about 518,000 corny dogs

This year The State Fair of Texas runs Sept. 27-Oct. 20.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
