Cindy Shotwell was named Zachary Rotary Club’s Citizen of the Year.
Shotwell has dedicated countless hours to serving the community through her nonprofit Must Luv Dogs Rescue. She is passionate about rescuing and rehoming dogs in need, working to place them in loving forever homes, a news release said.
Shotwell based the mission statement for her organization on Proverbs 31:8-9, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.”
