Mountain Grove works to prevent euthanizing dogs due to overcrowding

The City of Mountain Grove Animal Control recently announced it is facing the possibility of euthanizing dogs due to overcrowding.

Animal Control said its facility has operated as a no-kill shelter for the past two years, but have now reached a point where there is no longer space for the dogs. As a result, it is faced with the difficult decision of what to do when the dogs’ time at the shelter runs out.

According to their policy, they can only hold animals for 20 days.

In an effort to increase adoptions before making a final decision, the community has introduced an additional incentive package for anyone who adopts. All adoptable dogs will now come vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped.

Additionally, each dog will come with a voucher for a free rabies vaccine and a coupon for approximately $50 worth of food from Urban Dogg, a local business.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
