More than 60 dogs rescued in Dillon County hoarding case find forever homes

All 4 Paws Animal Rescue announced Wednesday all of the more than 60 dogs rescued from a hoarding situation earlier this year have found loving homes.

The shelter said, as of the week of April 14, all of the dogs rescued in the case, including the mothers and their puppies, have been adopted.

In February, the organization took in the dogs after rescuing them from a single home in Dillon County.

Allison Gillespie, director at All 4 Paws, said many of the animals were in poor health, injured, and several were pregnant.

The organization extended its gratitude to those who adopted, donated and shared the dogs’ stories.

All4Paws hopes the case serves as a reminder of the importance of speaking up about suspected neglect or hoarding.

South Carolina law does not limit how many animals a person can own but does define how they must be cared for.

A person can have as many animals as they want, as long as their basic care needs are being met.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
