Milwaukee officials work to seize dogs in apparent breeding operation

Officials from the City of Milwaukee’s Department of Neighborhood Services, MADACC and Milwaukee police are searching a home Thursday near 61st and Park Hill Avenue. The investigation stems from a recent neighbor complaint and dead dogs found on the property by MADACC during a search in 2024, according to MADACC Director Karen Sparapani. In an interview with WISN 12, Sparapani estimated 40-50 dead dogs have died on the property, likely dying from the Canine parvovirus. Police detained a woman at the home on a separate warrant.
