Milford house fire kills 62-year-old man, 2 dogs

SALT LAKE CITY — An overnight house fire in Milford, Utah, resulted in the death of a 62-year-old man and two dogs.

Beaver County Fire District #2 officials said their volunteer firemen arrived on the scene of a reported structure fire at 2:45 a.m. on Monday morning.

The fire was near 140 N. and 100 E. in Milford.

Beaver Co. Fire District #2 Fire Chief Les Whitney said that when emergency responders showed up about three minutes later, a neighbor from across the street was trying to wake up the occupants.

But that attempt was unsuccessful, Whitney said. Not long after firefighters arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames. The fire was so intense firefighters could not fight it from inside the home.

After officials set up defensive fire protection, they got it under control.

Officials suspected someone was inside the Milford home

Whitney said officials knew someone might have been in the home because a relative told them his dad should’ve been there at the time.

Later they found the body of a male, as well as the bodies of two dogs. An autopsy is underway and an investigation continues.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
