WEST RICHLAND, Wash. – West Richland Police and K9 Polar are reminding people about the consequences of animal abandonment.
In a Facebook post, a message from K9 Polar says he’s cracking down on animal crime against “irresponsible humans.”
He’s asking anyone witnessing animal abandonment to write down the vehicle’s license plate and/or turn video/photos to police.
Violators of animal abandonment laws are subjected to a fine of up to $5,000 and/or up to a year in jail.
