Memphis Animal Services resumes dog adoptions, rescues and fostering

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Animal Services (MAS) resumed dog adoptions, rescues, and fostering on Tuesday, February 4.

This comes more than two weeks after an outbreak of Canine Distemper Virus led to more than 100 animals being euthanized.

MAS said that they need to find homes for 150 dogs as soon as possible to fully reopen for intakes. The organization encouraged people to foster the dogs, even if they only take the animals in on a short-term basis.

Enhanced cleaning protocols have been put in place, and MAS said that sanitizing is necessary between interactions with each dog.

MAS asked interested foster parents to come by the shelter at 1 p.m.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
