UTICA, N.Y. — The Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired has announced its new partnership with Freedom Guide Dogs.
Meet Iris, the pup sponsored by CABVI from Freedom Guide Dogs’ latest litter.
Iris is set to begin her transformative training journey to become a certified guide dog.
“We’re incredibly proud to partner with CABVI through their sponsorship of Iris, a future guide dog whose journey begins with purpose and promise,” said Breeding and Puppy Program Manager Ashleigh Pace.
“Our organizations have long shared a mission of serving individuals who are blind or visually impaired, not just by meeting their needs, but by championing their independence, dignity and quality of life,” Pace added.
Freedom Guide Dogs is a nonprofit organization committed to training and placing guide dogs with individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
Iris will make her first public appearance at CABVI’s Lightning Bug Shootout, held at Twin Ponds Golf and Country Club in New York Mills.
