Inside the home, 32 dogs were rescued from what the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office called “deplorable conditions.” The conditions were so bad that one dog had to be euthanized at the scene. Owner of the property, Justin Fowler, gave a look inside at what his family is left to clean up.

“This house is just my worst nightmare. I’m just having to go through and spray the entire house,” Fowler said.

Fowler posted a video to YouTube, documenting the condition of his mother’s home that’s been passed down since her death. Inside, layers of dirt, garbage, feces and urine cover the floor. The house is infested with fleas and rodents and stacked floor to ceiling with crates, with the animals having no choice but to use the bathroom in them. Fowler said Howery was squatting in the home for three years.

“This is the pantry. I’m assuming it looks like they didn’t do too much washing. This is where this guy was sleeping. So what do I do? There’s hungry fleas. This whole house is covered in hungry fleas,” Fowler said.

Fowler said he’s been there for days trying to clean up, but doesn’t feel like he’s making a dent.

“I set off 20 bug bombs in here already. I don’t know what to do. I just know that my family is stuck with this, and I’m out here taking it on alone,” Fowler said.

Fowler said they sunk $35,000 into renovations before Howery moved in. He’s asking for help to rehabilitate the house so that money won’t go to waste.

“This isn’t what I want to be doing. I want to be spending time with my kids…Been out here just working my butt off, and it just seems to be getting worse. I’ve got a dumpster coming out here soon. Just need some people to help,” Fowler said.

The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
