Mayday the dog up for adoption at the Humane Educational Society in Chattanooga

This week, meet Mayday, a 2-year-old boxer mix at the Humane Educational Society in Chattanooga (HES).

If you like strong, fun-loving, handsome guys, the shelter says Mayday is perfect for you.

This 55-pounder is a staff and volunteer favorite who knows how to enjoy life. Mayday is a strong boy, and he’s working on his leash manners.

Whether it’s playing with other dogs, going for walks, or taking a dip in the lake, he always looks joyous and has a huge smile.

“He’s as lovable as they come, enjoys pets and affection, is a big toy-lover, [and] will make a great companion for a lucky person or family!”

HES says he is super energetic and would do best in a home with an active owner who can make sure he gets lots of mental and physical exercise.

Since he’s big and rowdy, Mayday would probably do best in a home without small children, but he may be open to having a canine pal for company.

If you’re interested in adopting Mayday or any Pet of the Week, you can visit HES Chattanooga’s website, stop by the shelter at 4155 Randolph Circle, or call 423-524-5302.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
