Dead dogs were found in a freezer inside a Middleborough home where several animals were found in unsanitary conditions, resulting in a woman being charged and released, Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz’s office announced.
Kimberly Savino, 43, was charged with 26 counts of animal cruelty by a custodian (subsequent offense) in Wareham District Court on Thursday, Cruz’s office said in a statement. She was released on her own personal recognizance and was ordered to have no contact with the animals.
Savino’s pretrial hearing is scheduled for Dec. 10.
