Mandeville man booked with cruelty to animals, 11 dogs found emaciated on his property

A Mandeville man accused of starving 11 dogs on his property has been arrested, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Antino McKendell, 52, was booked into the parish jail on 11 counts of cruelty to animals.

Authorities say a patrol deputy saw several dogs in poor condition in McKendell’s yard while on an unrelated call in the 27000 block of Jackson Street.

The deputy went to the home, where he found the dogs emaciated. A 12th dog was also there and, while neglected, was not in as severe condition as the others. Its owner was issued a citation for cruelty to animals, the sheriff’s office said.

St. Tammany Parish Animal Control is now caring for the dogs, according to authorities.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
