Man “severely injured” after multiple dogs attack in Williamson County

GOREVILLE, Ill. (KFVS) – A man was injured after being attacked by multiple dogs in Williamson County, Illinois.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies are on the scene in the 500 block of Birmingham Lane, Goreville in rural Williamson County.

The sheriff’s office says deputies have responded to a 911 call reporting that four to five large dogs have attacked a male.

The victim was reportedly severely injured and is being treated by EMS. He is expected to be airlifted to an area trauma center.

The sheriff’s office is asking the public to remain clear of the area as they are attempting to secure the dogs that remain at large.

Williamson County Animal Control is en route to assist.
