Man rescued after saving his dog from a local creek

A rescue call at 9:45 a.m. Saturday prompted Amherst Police and the Ellicott Creek Volunteer Fire Company to visit the bark park. That’s where a 39-year-old Kenmore man was walking his dogs.

One of the dogs went down a steep embankment and into the water, police said.

“The man went into the creek after his dog and was able remove the dog from the water prior to patrols arrival, but was unable to get back up the steep embankment,” Amherst Police said in a statement.

The fire company helped the man and his dog up the embankment. The man was taken by ambulance to Kenmore Mercy Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
