Man indicted for beating dog to death

SPRINGPORT, NY (WBNG) — The Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office said a man was indicted for killing a woman’s dog on Oct. 2.

The District Attorney’s Office said Brandon Carlson, 39, of Seneca Falls, NY was indicted by a grand jury on one count of aggravated cruelty to animals and one count of tampering with physical evidence. Both charges are felonies.

The indictment alleges that on Nov. 28, 2023, in Springport, Carlson physically beat a dog and gave it head trauma, causing its death. It is alleged that he then moved the dog to the road to make its death look like it was caused by being struck by a vehicle.

Carlson is facing up to four years in prison for the crime.

He will return to court on Nov. 6.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
