An Adams County man is facing animal cruelty charges for allegedly dumping dogs that killed a neighbor’s two poodles.According to the Natchez Democrat, Dennis Wayne Donald, 57, was charged with two counts of cruelty to animals by Justice Court Danny Barber. The Adams County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that deputies received a call on Saturday, April 12, about two dogs that killed a neighbor’s poodles. The office says two of Donald’s dogs went into the neighbor’s yard. One dog was killing one of the poodles while the other was carrying the other poodle back to Donald’s home. Officials say when they arrived at Donald’s home to deliver a summons to appear in court, they couldn’t exit the vehicle due to five dogs coming at them “aggressively.” After being ordered by a judge to put the two dogs down, Donald claimed that he had already killed the dogs himself. Later, he allegedly admitted he had not killed the dogs, but he dumped them in the Union Church area.
