FREMONT, Neb. (KOLN) — A Fremont man is in custody after having sex with a dog on camera, according to court records.
Officers arrested 30-year-old Jeremy Lippincott last week, and he has since been charged with one count of indecency with an animal and one count of cruelly neglecting an animal. Both charges are misdemeanors.
An investigation began in late February after authorities were made aware of a video depicting a man sexually abusing a dog. Officers determined the video had been filmed at a home in Fremont.
The four-minute video shows a man having sex with a 6-year-old chocolate Labrador, an arrest affidavit shows. Authorities think the video was made some time in mid-January.
Lippincott was later contacted by police, and officers were able to identify him as the man in the video based on tattoos on his leg, police wrote. Officers think Jeremy may have been under the influence of DMT, a psychedelic drug, at the time of the assault.
A search warrant was executed at the home on March 9, and three dogs, including the dog that was abused, were taken from the property and placed into protective custody.
The Fremont man made his first court appearance on March 18, and his bond was set at 10% of $50,000. The judge also ordered Lippincott to have no contact with animals. He’s expected back in court for a pretrial hearing on April 1.
Lippincott remains lodged in the Dodge County Jail as of Friday morning.
