Albany, NY — Police are investigating a dog attack in Albany. Graphic social media videos show the man being attacked by two dogs and collapsing.
Shortly before 6:00 Wednesday evening, officers responded to the 500 block of Central Avenue after reports that a man was attacked by several dogs. They witnessed the dogs attacking the man when they arrived. One of the officers fired a weapon in an attempt to stop the attack, striking at least one dog.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene. Police are withholding his name until proper notifications are made.
All of the dogs are accounted for, and police are in the process of placing them in an appropriate facility.
The investigation is ongoing.
