Man arrested for pleasuring himself at Colchester Dog Park

COLCHESTER, Conn. (WFSB) – A man has been arrested after he was pleasuring himself at a dog park in Colchester on Thursday afternoon.

At 1:30 p.m. officers were deployed to Colchester Dog Park after a report of a person who was pleasuring themselves out in the open, police said.

There was a landscaping crew in the area told police they witnessed a man who was pleasuring himself while sitting in one of the park’s benches while also watching pornography on his phone.

The man fled before police arrived but a witness was able to get the individual’s car registration plate.

Officials revealed the identity of the man as 66-year-old Alan Sims of Colchester.

Following a thorough investigation, officers found probable cause to place him in custody.

He is now being charged with public indecency and breach of peace.

Sims has posted $5,000 bail and is expected to appear at Norwich Superior Court on June 19th.
