Lynchburg Humane Society offers free adoptions for long-term dogs

The Lynchburg Humane Society is offering a special opportunity for those looking to add a furry friend to their family this Valentine’s Day. Through Friday, the “Love at Last” promo allows potential pet owners to adopt one of 36 dogs free of charge. These dogs have been at the shelter the longest, with some having waited for years to find their forever homes.

Claire LeFew, the development and communications manager at the Lynchburg Humane Society, emphasized the importance of finding homes for these dogs.

“Even though we are lucky with a very nice facility here, the shelter is a stressful place for a dog and they can let their true personalities shine in a home, and it quite literally saves them and saves the next dog,” LeFew said.

Adoption counselors are available to assist anyone interested in adopting, helping to match potential owners with a dog that fits their lifestyle.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
