Loved ones mourn death of Clackamas County woman and her two dogs after remains found

In some ways the story starts at Hoodland Bazaar, where Susan Lane-Fournier worked and didn’t show up to work more than a week ago. On Monday, it was full of loved ones who were mourning her loss.

Lane-Fournier, 61, was originally reported missing on Nov. 22. On Nov. 29, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office confirmed it had found her remains at a location near Highway 26 and East Miller Road.

Authorities arrested her estranged husband, 71-year-old Michel Fournier, accusing him of killing her.

One of Susan’s friends of almost a decade told us on Monday about the woman she was.

“She had this positive energy, and it was impossible to be upset when you were around her,” said Carli Gesch, Lane-Fournier’s friend.

Gesch said she was the one who found Susan’s truck parked by Salmon River Road, after Susan was reported missing.

She said she knew something was wrong because that wouldn’t be a place Susan would park to hike.

She also said she saw the leashes for Susan’s dogs still in the car, knowing Susan wouldn’t walk her dogs off leash.

Updates planned for this story.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
