WALKER, MI — Lost Art Brewhouse is launching a new kitchen where customers can grab a smash burger, Detroit-style chili dogs and more.
The brewery, 3393 Remembrance Road NW, is marking the occasion with a grand opening celebration March 25, where patrons can order food at a discounted price, the brewery stated in a news release.
“We’ve always prided ourselves on creating a space where the community can come together and enjoy great beer,” said Brad Lawrence, co-owner and head brewer at Lost Art. “By opening this kitchen, we’re now able to bring the same passion and creativity to the food we serve, making it the perfect complement to our craft beer selection.”
Lost Art opened in summer 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The brewhouse describes itself as a small-batch, artisan brewery that uses high-quality, fresh ingredients. Customers can find 13 beers on tap at Lost Art, ranging from fruited sours and hazy IPAs to a Mexican lager, an Irish red ale and more.
There’s even a rotating selection of ice cream beers. Made using a variety of ice creams and sorbets, the beers were created to “push the boundaries of what beer can be and what it can taste like.”
The new kitchen isn’t Lost Art’s first foray into food.
Lawrence and his colleague, Mike Smith, launched a food truck in 2022, parking the vehicle outside the brewery and cooking smash burgers and fries for customers.
With the new kitchen, those smash burgers will now be served inside the kitchen, as well as new monthly burger and hot dog specials.
