There is no better time than now to adopt a dog from the SPCA of WNY. If you’re looking for a great friend, one of these dogs could be it.
The SPCA Serving Erie County is full
Yesterday, the SPCA Serving Erie County made the announcement that they could no longer accept admissions for dogs. They’re temporarily pausing admissions because they’ve gotten a bunch of dogs due to a large number of animal cruelty cases, and they just don’t have the resources to care for them all.
Now is the perfect time to adopt a pet
I have long been an advocate for rescuing pets if you’re able. If you’ve been thinking about getting a pet, this is the perfect time. Not only will it take the strain off of organizations like the SPCA, but it’s the best time for you, too.
The weather is perfect for a new pet. You’re going to need to take them outside and get them some exercise. It’s the time of year when the snow is gone, and it’s still not super hot so it will be more comfortable for you and them.
Plus, think about house training. It’s tough to house train a new pet, but it’s so important. If you’re going to be in an out of the house, this is the weather you want to do it in.
The weather is perfect. The shelters are full. Now is the perfect time to rescue a pet. Want to see some of the dogs that are available to you?
