LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) – On Monday at 3:40 p.m., a Longview resident was cooking food in an air fryer when it began sparking.
The sparks started a fire in the kitchen. Longview firefighters responded, and when they arrived, they said they could see the fire through the doorway to the kitchen. Crews were able to extinguish the fire with minimal damage to the structure, containing the fire to the kitchen, according to the fire department.
There were no injuries, but the resident and two dogs were displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
