Logan County Animal Shelter launches ‘Doggy Day Dates’ program

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) – The Logan County Animal Shelter announced Sunday a new program for volunteers to spend quality time with dogs in their shelter.

The program known as “Doggy Day Dates” allows volunteers to spend time with a shelter dog starting in the morning, and then spending the day with them. Dogs are allowed to visit local pet-friendly businesses, go for a walk, or even get a sweet treat of a pup-cup.

The goal behind this new program give dogs quality human interaction, as well as providing an opportunity of potential adopters to see the interactions with a potential new furry friend.

The animal shelter asks that you make an appointment at least 24 hours in advance. Dogs can be picked up starting at 9 a.m. and returned no later than 3 p.m.

There is no cost associated with this program.

If you are interested in participating, stop by the shelter located at 1230 Morgantown Road in Russellville, Kentucky. If you have questions, the animal shelter can be contacted by phone at 270-726-2186

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
