Loewe Marks 10 Years of Puzzle Bags by Opening Its Archives

A polka-dot version of the Puzzle Bag originally designed for the fall 2018 collection is among the styles to be rereleased in May.

Jonathan Anderson’s tenure at Loewe may be over, but his hit Puzzle Bag lives on as one of the Spanish luxury label’s most recognizable and coveted accessories. To celebrate the boxy bag’s tenth anniversary, Loewe turned to its archives to rerelease 19 of the line’s most memorable designs, from the suede pink patchwork version that helped introduce the style in 2014 to a pixelated-pattern style created for spring 2023. Other rereleases highlight how frequently Anderson turned to artistic movements for inspiration, including bags that were used as canvases for honoring the work of artists such as William De Morgan and Joe Brainard.

To celebrate the bag’s anniversary, Loewe is also releasing a new style, called “confetti,” covered with thousands of multicolored leather sequins. Each anniversary collection bag comes with, among other special extra details, a limited-edition plaque, funky little charms, and an actual Loewe jigsaw puzzle.
