Over 70 dogs were rescued from the harsh weather conditions of Texas and California by a local animal rescue shelter in Palm Beach County.
Big Dog Ranch announced on Monday it traveled across the country in a large bus to Palm Springs Animal Rescue in California to rescue pets from the wildfires. Around 48 dogs were transported to safety in Florida, Big Dog Ranch says.
While Big Dog Ranch was on its way back to Florida, it stopped in Cleveland, Texas where it rescued 30 dogs and puppies from the freezing arctic cold front.

“These dogs are refugees from natural disasters, some from raging fires and some from freezing cold temperatures. It’s fire and ice. They will all now receive the love and attention they need while in our care and will hopefully find families who will adopt them into their new forever homes,” said Lauree Simmons, founder and CEO of Big Dog Ranch.
After health examination and treatment, the dogs and puppies will be available to foster and adopt. For more information visit at BDRR.ORG.
