Local musher withdrawn from Iditarod dog sled race

ALASKA (WBAY) – An update from the Iditarod dog sled race in Alaska.

A Wisconsin resident, Quince Mountain, of Mountain, has been withdrawn from the race after nine days.

Ten other participants have already been pulled from the race. A musher can be withdrawn by a three-judge panel if they are no longer considered competitive.

This is the second time Mountain has attempted the Iditarod, and the second time he has been withdrawn by the judges.

Congratulations to Quince and his team of dogs for making it through nine days in a tough race.

Another musher from Wisconsin, Daniel Klein of Eagle, is also out of the race. The official update on the Iditarod website says he scratched Friday, March 7.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
