Local Eagles raise $3,700 for Burien CARES, 4 dogs adopted – The B-Town (Burien) Blog

The Burien C.A.R.E.S. animal shelter fundraiser held at the Burien Eagles on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024 saw a strong community turnout, raising $3,700 to support veterinary care, vaccinations, and spay/neuter services for local animals in need.

The event, attended by numerous local residents, also resulted in the successful adoption of four dogs. Organizers expressed gratitude for the community’s generosity and engagement in the cause.

In a special moment during the event, Cyndee, a dedicated supporter, presented a $2,000 check raised through her efforts in the kitchen. Her contribution was recognized with appreciation from both the shelter and attendees.

“Thank you Cyndee for all that you do,” organizers said. “We look forward to having more events like this.”

“Special shout out and thank you to one of our wonderful volunteers, Chris, for doing all of the organzing. She is a rockstar!” CARES said in a statement. “Thank you to the volunteers who brought over 15 of our pups so that they could meet some people and relax and enjoy the beautiful September weather. Our dogs were on their best behavior! We can’t wait to do another event.”

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
