A local Dog will be competing on the national stage this weekend. Katrina Henderson’s dog, “Chaos” a Red Coon Hound from Tully, is one of more than 2000 dogs participating in this year’s “National Dog Show” at the Philadelphia Kennel Club.
This is the 23rd year for the popular event which features dogs from more than 200 breeds of dogs.
Henderson, who trains “Chaos” at “Elite Handling and Training” in East Syracuse, says the National Dog Show features some of the best show dogs in the entire country.
“There’s other breeds of dogs and they all compete for “Best in Show,” I’m excited to see him compete on Thanksgiving Day,” she says.
Mark Weiss, owner of Elite Handling and Training, says “Chaos” is just one of several dogs he helps train.
“The goal is to get them show ready,” he says.
