Lexington County man charged after three dogs found dead, two rescued

A Lexington County man is charged with ill treatment of animals after three dogs were found dead inside a home, according to Lexington County officials.

Robert Jachim, 40, is charged with five counts of ill-treatment of animals.

Officials say he was arrested on July 16, after investigators with the Lexington County Animal Services said he left five dogs inside a home without food or water.

Investigators responded to Jachim’s home in the 5000 block of Corley Street Monday morning, according to officials.

Officials say five dogs were found inside four in wire crates, and two of the four were found dead. The fifth, a small breed dog, was found dead inside a bedroom.

Jachim told investigators he left the property on July 2 and didn’t return, according to officials.

He surrendered the remaining two dogs that were found alive. They were taken to a rescue shelter for care, officials said.

Jachim was given a bond of $5,000 per count.

He is currently in the Lexington County Detention Center.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
